THE ETERNAL POWER STRUGGLE

The second insight on the path to the light of reality is the recognition that an eternal power struggle governs world events. The current conflict is not a standalone crisis. It is one more wave in a long chain of dominance contests that never stops. The 1940s made this clear. The struggle was expressed through military force, and without that underlying drive for dominance, the United States would not have entered WWII. It did, and the Allies prevailed. The United States emerged as the world’s dominant military and economic power.
Wars do not begin with ideology. They begin with dominance and subservience imperatives that operate inside every human group. Most people want comfort and small advantages. They do not want unlimited power. A small minority is born with an unquenchable drive for control. These individuals rise into leadership positions. Their internal agendas, often subconscious, incubate wars.
WWII was a dominance event. It ended, but the eternal struggle continued. Other nations were left with staggering losses and faced severe rebuilding problems. The Soviet Union was barely functional. The United States stood alone as the global pillar of strength. The struggle shifted into the Cold War. Ideology was the surface explanation, but it was not the engine. The United States operated as a free‑market system. The Soviet Union operated under communism, which would have collapsed on its own. Had the United States treated the Soviets as a market customer instead of a military threat, communism would have disappeared faster.
When the Soviet Union fell apart, the United States made a strategic error. It continued treating Russia as a military adversary instead of a free‑market participant. Russia and China expanded their market attributes. The United States moved in the opposite direction. It began reducing its free‑market system and shifting toward top‑down socialism, where political power allocates resources. A consortium of billionaires now controls the government and determines who receives income and resources.
The current war is another wave in the eternal power struggle. It strengthens China, Russia, and Iran in global dominance terms. The United States faces economic decline and loss of world influence. Large wars are now counterproductive. No major power can destroy another without destroying itself. As the United States loses influence, Israel loses its strategic utility and disappears from the Mid‑East equation.
Global power now rests in the hands of multi‑billionaires. Their leverage comes from the stock market and their ability to keep it elevated. China rises as the world’s economic power. That will last until its own internal concentration reaches a breaking point.
The eternal power struggle operates in humans the same way it operates in a pride of lions. Prides compete for territory. Males compete for dominance inside the pride. Human societies follow the same pattern. The scale is larger. The tools are different. The underlying drive is identical.
