The Propensity to be Loyal

The propensity to be loyal to what a person is born into…. and most all of what he is familiar with – is instinctive. Folks are loyal to their alma mater or any school they might be attending. They are loyal to their town or neighborhood. The list goes on.

The propensity to be loyal is a human instinct. Such an instinct has been necessary because, over eons, it has been necessary for the survival of the human species. In the modern world, such an instinct can and often does work against the welfare of the individual. Life and history move rapidly – while instincts take eons to change and accommodate sociological changes.

One might be asked. Are you a loyal American? In today’s world an interesting answer might be, “My loyalty is conditional.” When using natural law, people and institutions are treated according to how they function, and not according to how they are defined.

The United States is defined as a republic. Does it function as a republic? To what extent should an individual be loyal to an institution which is not what it is deemed to be?

AI War Against Reality

Book Cover Full Size.pngAs you may know, I think and live in the light of reality. The developers of AI don’t. I will get to that.

For myself ( academic, author and researcher) so far, AI has been a complete blessing. What I can accomplish in little time and effort now is amazing. But…. I don’t pay anyone a dime.

The first question I asked is:  What exactly is going to be the profit engine that enriches those who are expecting to get rich?

AI will definitely do these things.

Boost productivity: AI automates tasks, letting people do more valuable work.

Create new products/services: AI helps build new offerings, like personalized shopping or AI-generated art.

Improve existing operations: AI makes things like manufacturing or customer service more efficient.

Personalize everything: AI understands customers better, leading to more targeted marketing and sales.

Trying to personalize everything will lose money for them. Online vendors are clueless when it comes to anticipating consumer demand. There is nothing new in online marketing. Consumers are immune to their marketing techniques. They are completely cost – conscious and are becoming irritated at those who assume they know what folks are thinking.

I haven’t found a way AI will be used in every home in the United States alongside computers, etc. That may be forthcoming.

Here is where the war begins. Furious competition will develop within the AI community. Aspiring AI profiteers will try to destroy one another. AI search engines are biased with respect to any search where the answer could possibly raise doubts about the existing order of things. Nothing critical of  the Affordable Care Act will ever be said. As an experiment, try an AI answer to “Who killed JFK ?” Only Baidu’ AI search lists other possibilities. The Facebook AI search is so biased that it is ridiculous. AI searches are all biased but not near to the extent traditional search engines are. AI will never be perfect. AI is quite inept at abstract thinking. The only human nature it understands is that of those who developed it.

There are no genuine traditional search engines. Google is an advertising company. You only see what Google wants you to see. The emergence of AI will compromise Google greatly. The following are previous posts that focus on the headwinds big tech faces.

Because of AI’s enormous costs, lobbying efforts will be made to gain government subsidies. Those may be forthcoming but this is not a good time to ask taxpayers for monetary gifts.

Searching For a Search Engine

The Coming Tech Train Wreck

AI searches will break the backs of most tech companies. Big tech cannot prosper if they are unable to control and manage what people think and do. They are already losing that battle. Big Tech had already been losing this battle prior to the advent of AI and its bubble, albeit not stock prices. There are many elephants in the room that no one sees.

AI will be with us from now on. It will greatly enhance the efforts of academics. It will cause the loss of jobs. New jobs will be found. This always happens when superior technology is introduced.

Most importantly, the initial market failures of AI entrepreneurs will crash the stock market and usher in the 2nd great depression – one even greater than the first one.

They are selling what the public will never buy. AI will eventually then be put to higher and better uses as time passes. The second rat will get the cheese.

Shrinking Merchandise Trade Deficit Significance

Shrinking Merchandise Trade Deficit Significance
James Quillian, Economist, Political Analyst, Natural Law

That concerns me greatly. A large trade deficit means that there is prosperity in our population. We have surplus money to spend and a lot of it is buying goods from other countries like China. What do the Chinese do with their profits? They either spend it on what our service economy offers or they invest in our capital markets. That balances our capital account and everything is even.

Here is the problem. Much of our service sector has been bolstered politically. At the same time services the Chinese have always been interested in are waning in utility for them. They are buying less of our services or plan on buying less.

Due to our four decades of employing our unacknowledged, unofficial, asset enhancement initiative, our financial assets are astronomically overpriced.

All of this means that the global prosperity bubble has bottle – necked. The worldwide prosperity balloon bubble is starting to deflate. This presents a problem. Demand for goods and services collectively or globally is diminishing. The result is – a major depression (not a  recession) is in its incipient stage. Sadly, a recovery can only be launched via free market influences. Worldwide, free market influences have largely been legislated out of existence.

Today’s prosperity has been created politically. The prosperity is concentrated within the few with the massive political power to get self-serving legislation passed. Following the middle ages, it was discovered that individuals acting independently accomplish greater things than is the case where life’s activities are managed by a central authority.

Groupthink never works out well. Central planning is indeed groupthink on steroids. Benefits from central planning for a few , can be profound in the short run. In the long term, central planning outcomes are disastrous. The short run is over now. Governments can’t make economic decisions. They can only make political decisions. Political decisions are always based on groupthink.

AI Summary of Article

In essence, the provided text from jamesquillian.com argues that a shrinking merchantmen trade deficit, while seemingly a positive indicator, is a symptom of deeper economic issues. The author suggests that politically driven economic policies, overvalued financial assets, and diminishing foreign demand for services are leading to a global economic downturn, potentially a major depression, exacerbated by the suppression of free market influences and the failures of central planning.

Clues to Direction of AI

There aBook Cover Full Size.pngre two questions. What an entity knows?, How well does an entity use what an entity does know? In doing AI searches, I have noticed that an inquiry that asks a completely non-controversial question, gets a genuine, sometimes extraordinary answer. Ask a question that threatens the existing power structure and a non-threatening, often ambiguous answer is generated.

Thinking in the light of reality allows one to see what is obvious. One thing is for certain. AI is already being used to manage the thought, understandings and opinions of the public.AI is apparently quite inept with respect to abstract thinking and genuine human nature.

Future of AI

Book Cover Full Size.pngAI does not understand human nature. The folks developing AI do not think in the light of reality anymore than anyone else. AI will reflect their mindsets.
Only billionaires and politicians will have the means of using AI to its full potential.

So, how long will the public be able to retrieve honest information by way of AI? Not, long, because the elite depend upon controlling the minds of ordinary people in order to accomplish their goals.

They will compete with one another for power and control.

The Imaginary Incentive to Serve

The world we live in is governed by the laws of dominance and subservience. There is no way to escape the system until our tenure here is complete.

Most people are unwilling to entertain the idea that most of what we do in aggregations of people is instinctive and that we have inborn propensities that are always present. `

Two of the instincts are to exalt our species and exalt ourselves as we interact with others in in the various aggregations we belong to. Because we are so important and special to ourselves, it is normal to expect that others view us in a similar light.

Donald Trump Explained

Show me where in the constitution it is written that the job of the U.S. president is to guide the U.S. economy.

Tell me how a president acting as CEO of a nation is compatible with free market principles.

Then point to a case in history where Tariffs along with a trade war has done anything but destroy the economy of every country which participates.

Now who benefits from a president taking such actions? Is it you the citizen? How is this all working out for you personally at this time?

Or, is it an elite group that lobbies relentlessly for policies from which they alone profit while all others suffer?

Is it really a good idea for U.S. citizens to grant any president dictatorial powers? How has this worked out historically for other countries which have done the same?

AI and AS Combined

I have been asking experts to explain exactly what artificial intelligence is. So far, not a one has given a cohesive answer. That doesn’t mean it is not anything. Never discount this kind of development, even though it may not have any personal utility to you at the moment. Every new invention I can remember, got dismissed by many as something that would never catch on…. automobiles, computers, smartphones and so on. AI, most likely will change the world. Based on initial observations as to how it is being used now, it is a destructive joke of a development.

Is it good for further enslaving the global population?  AI is being used in an attempt to do just that. So far, it has only created a degree of online chaos, that is driving folks offline. It is a great money saver for the online industry but, is that worth the business it is running off? Continue reading

Ways to Close the Wealth Inequality Gap

]Ways to Close the Wealth Inequality Gap
By James Quillian, Economic, Political Analyst, natural Law

Ronald Reagan set the precedent first by embracing the Full Employment act of 1978 – which changed the economy from free market…. to planned. Since that time, the rich have done the planning. All administrations since have followed Reagan’s lead. It has been nothing but deficit spending and money printing ever since. The rise of the government -made billionaires followed.

Ronald Reagan was the first president to tamper with the financial markets following the crash of 1987.

Ronald Reagan’s programs have been followed by the creation of the huge wealth gap we have today. It was about normal when he took office. Even today, after all of the damage done, Reagan is still held out as the perfect icon of a conservative

In 2006, Mention was made of revitalizing the plunge – protection team, to gauge public reaction. No reaction – so Henry Paulson was appointed treasury secretary. The asset enhancement initiative had been bolstered and stock price manipulation rose to a new level.

The “Wall Street Bailout” of 2008 transferred countless dollars from the bottom of the food chain to the top. In 2020, with the Corona Virus, what amounts to a wartime economy was imposed on the public. This opportunity transferred even more billions of dollars to the top.

QE and other loose money interventions artificially elevated profit margins for corporations.

Americans, highly trained to promote their own poverty, fully support management of the economy. Citizens think presidents have magical power over the economy. Citizens now expect a new government program to fix inflation.
This is what has caused all of the inequalities. Returning to the free market system is the only path to improvement.

The Game of Dominance and Subservience

The Game of Dominance and Subservience
James Quillian, Economic, Political Analyst, natural Law

Posted on March 23, 2025 by jamesq

Would it not be nice to have a board game called Dominance and Subservience? Perhaps if enough people played the game, it would come to light that life exists in a system of dominance and subservience.

It is the job of each species to dominate and make use of as many other species as possible. Dominate all of the other species and have them serve mankind. They don’t all get a bad deal. Dogs volunteer to be dominated and get a decent deal in return. Dogs end up trading freedom for comfort and are content when able to do so.

Human being are the dominant species living in the world today. Humans not only dominate all other worldly species, they also dominate and make servants of each other. Dominance and subservience are such an important part of life, the process is sometimes hard to notice. Subservience is almost always voluntary as with dogs.

Early in life, humans gain some knowledge of what they are capable of and who and how many people they can influence. Decisions are made to serve in exchange for comfort, mostly when individuals have concluded in their own minds that it is their best option for survival. None of this is spoken.

Some are more successful at the game of Dominance and Subservience than others.  What becomes of the most successful players of the game? These folks become presidents, congressmen and CEOs of huge corporations. The very most successful are private citizens who control enough wealth to dictate policy to government. World leaders are among the very best at dominance and subservience. Power and money are the rewards.

Where is the game of dominance and subservience played? It is played everywhere but the greatest contests go on in and around government. Democracy turns out to be a predator’s playground. Government’s primary activity turns out to be that of those with enough power getting what they want through government and having others pay for it.

Ordinary citizens fall in the trap of believing elected officials are motivated by ideology and are trying to improve the country. Governments have never operated that way.

Who Benefits From Democracy

Who Benefits From Democracy
By James Quillian,Economist, Political Analyst, Natural Law

Democracy serves whoever holds political power. That’s the whole trick .Everything else is decoration.

Here’s how the arrangement plays out in the real world.

Roughly 15% of the population controls about 90% of the wealth. That small bloc uses the machinery of democracy to write laws that enrich themselves and steer government policy to their advantage. The result is predictable: a widening gulf between the ultra‑rich and everyone else.

Political Medicine and Life Expectancy

Do we have classic socialized medicine in the United States?

Do we have national healthcare inspired by European democratic socialism? What we have is political medicine.

With socialism , goods and services are rationed by something other than price. Who gets what or how much in terms of healthcare is determined by political power. Those with little or no political power have get very little to none in terms of healthcare.

How does ObamaCare kill ? It turns doctors into clerks and patients into commodities. Insurance plans are actually life management plans and have no characteristics of genuine insurance. Under Obama Care , preventive healthcare comes down to starting patients with anointed maladies on big pharma life extending prescriptions drugs.
Doctors no longer talk to patients about genuine preventive measures like losing weight. A doctor’s role now , is  to mine for problems to exploit on behalf of the huge financially powerful firms which lobbied for decades to get the bill passed. After those are found,

any other patient issues are explained away, postponed or ignored. Doctors now act as agents of the state…. helping to carry out national healthcare agendas.
From your doctor, do you get his opinion or a political opinion? Truth is not used in politics. So, is not truth used in medicine?

This is why the death rate in the U.S. is increasing. It is going to get a lot worse. When was the last time you can remember a bad law being repealed in the United States?

Tarriffs

Tariffs are taxes on the overall population. The U.S. is broke. Consumer prices are skyrocketing. Individual citizens are the only entities which have any true income, or for that matter any genuine assets. In order to survive, the government must find ways to bleed what is left in resources out of the general population. The only other solution is to start closing Federal Agencies or cutting salaries of Federal employees.

Tariffs can be described as a benefit, and guess what?  A huge portion of the population can be duped into believing that they are. I have this saying. Never trust a politician, billionaire or broadcaster, Tariffs work against you, despite what these types say.

How is this possible in a democracy? As I say, democracy is the wrong system for a people who trust leadership. Americans hang on every word coming out of the mouths of the powerful. It is as simple as that. Add to that a number of misguided myths that purvey the national consciousness, as follows. here are a few.

Intellectuals routinely assume that what works on paper will work in practice, as if foreign vendors will not change their marketing practices in response to  U.S. Tariffs. They will respond with their own protectionist policies with regard to the United States. It will make more sense to them to lower their prices  elsewhere than it will to pay U.S. taxes.

The president has the role of guiding the economy. This is not the case, nor is it the case that the economy must be guided, at all, from the top down.

There is actually no such thing as the U.S. economy. The economy, as it effects you, is a worldwide phenomenon, regardless of how it is presented. People are easily manipulated as they treat it as a my team vs the other team, situation, as if they have anything to gain by a stellar GDP relative to China, for example. There is no go team go in economics. Its every man for himself, independently of the way you would like it to be.

Government does not provide safety.  More people have died due to government’s efforts to keep us all safe programs than not. Our intelligence agencies may very well be the leading cause of death in the country,

Experts do not know what is best. For the most part experts milk society. Without government funding for their efforts, most would go broke.

This is the essence of tariffs in the light of reality. Eventually reality imposes itself on all of us. Why not deal with it in advance?.

With tariffs, just add more economic misery to what you are already experiencing.

Wealth Redistributing in the US
James Quillian, Economist, Political Analyst, Natural Law

Given the current mentality of U.S. citizens, it can’t be done. As long as voters trust their leaders, folks will just have to wallow in their misery. Democracy only benefits a population which does not trust its government. If this was not the case, there would be no point in having a democracy or a republic.

As long as citizens trust their leaders , a few will use government as a means of drawing wealth in their direction. So, with wealth disparities and a population that views government as their friend, there will be more disparities to come.

Any unnatural means of redistributing income like with government programs, will bring billionaires to their knees, but everyone else will become poorer also given the current mentality of U.S. citizens, it can’t be done.
